Dear Squawkers,

There was a question in the mailbag a couple weeks ago from Alix which I started to answer and then realized I was going so long I should just make it a newsletter. The question from Alix is this:

I would love to get a Sarah career analysis for Jason Segel - he used to be one of the Apatow dudes but seems to have moved away (?) from that. How has he managed to outgrow the Apatow dudes? Where do you think he’s going? Could he be the next Seth Rogen (ie. has a glow up & career renaissance then suddenly more people like him)? I feel like his work on ‘Shrinking’ (which feels criminally underrated!!) is great both as an actor & writer/exec producer.

I’m not going to answer these questions in order, because some answers are simpler than others, so let’s start with the simplest: Could Jason Segel be the next Seth Rogen?
