What, or who, is behind Tree Paine and Taylor Swift's reaction to DeuxMoi's tweet
Dear Squawkers,
Jetlag is a fuck. As of this writing I’ve only been back from Hong Kong for 48 hours, so my daytime is my nighttime or some time that’s not the actual time and I’m telling you this because I don’t know where I am, so if none of what I’m about to say makes any sense… sorry, but TIME.
So many of my chats right now are about Taylor Swift, her publicist Tree Paine, and DeuxMoi. It’s been five days since Tree took aim at DeuxMoi over her posts suggesting that Taylor and Joe Alwyn may or may not have been married and that Taylor could have experienced pregnancy loss.
I’m not here to talk about those allegations, which is the “what” of it all; rather I’m more interested in the “why”. It was an unusual move for Tree – because as DeuxMoi said herself, Taylor is gossiped about all the time. Going after DM, and so publicly, is a reaction. And since Taylor and Tree are so strategic in how they play and manage this game, a lot of people are wondering what the next move is, and if there’s a bigger picture here.
