Dear Squawkers,

There’s been a hilarious side-effect to all this Bennifer drama that’s been happening the last few weeks; hilarious to me because I’m a narcissist and it has to do with LaineyGossip. Yes, I am saying that somehow, we are involved in Bennifer, OK? Actually, not quite Bennifer but Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

Let me explain: it all started with this post from January 2021 when Matt was papped not wearing his wedding ring outside Ben’s place. A month later someone tweeted it, because it had been (jokingly) interpreted to mean that Matt wasn’t wearing his wedding ring with Ben and maybe they’re gay for each other.  

Last May, though, it was tweeted again and got a lot more traction:

Over the last week or so, it’s basically exploded. To the point where “which could mean nothing” is officially a meme, it’s actually listed in Know Your Meme now! And TikTok is allllllll over it.
