Building on the Eanes Brothers conversation, I just learned that Jalen Hurts (the QB for the Eagles) has an all-female team managing his career, and he’s making a point with it.
I am suuuuper excited about the potential return of Career Prospectus! I have always loved your insight in those, Sarah. I just went through the archive and it's interesting to see who has turned out just fine (Ryan Reynolds) and who has maybe stalled somewhat (Clive Owen). Also, I could have sworn you did a Chris Evans prospectus but I don't see it in the archive - was that one where you made a reference to him needing one then everything turned out okay?
I went back and reread some of the prospectii(?) from 10 years ago and lol, so many sufferers of leading-man-syndrome! Not sure if you'll ever get time for it, but it would be super interesting to do an omnibus on folks who had been prospectus'ed to see whether any of them followed your prescription or got lucky and turned their careers around though a quick glance at the names suggest that it hasn't really happened, except for Alia Shawkat and Timothy Oliphant who didn't super need the prospectus in the first place.
My weekend reading became the old Career Prospectus. I am surprised how often Katherine Heigl's name comes up, and to see whose careers took a change (Mandy Moore) since the writing of 10ish years ago. Love the insights and the look back on stars we cared about.
As Lainey likes to say - Come. ON. What a Mailbag!
Mustique, La Jolie, Career Prospectuses coming back (yes to Sarah Gadon), Céline, Critics’ Choice and HFPA inside baseball, the Eanes and a book recommendation. And Live Chat for Golden Globes with Sarah and DUANA! If Sasha shows up I’ll flip. This has been one of the most intense weeks of my life and not in a good way. Reading this mailbag and a having a couple of tokes is just what I needed. Lastly, I’m happy you’ve left The Social, Lainey. You have more time to write and gossip.
Loved reading Lainey’s writing on the Eanes brothers too! I saw a clip of Rich Paul on YT where he talked about how some of his young clients with $20million contracts will start flying private all the time and how he tries to help them see that $20 million isn’t that much money if it’s over X number of years and after taxes. I was like, “Damn, good for Adele. She’s got a real one.”
The Taraji photos are the most recent as Fantasia wasn't in Palm Springs, though she's the lead of the film which is why her name is in the title. That said, I see the disconnect. So we can change the title of the post.

Love to see it!
Thanks for answering Sarah! I didn't mean to add to your plate during a busy time 🤪🫣. Excited for Sunday!

I don't think I ever did one on Chris Evans. He might have been requested but his career really took off in the 2010s, so he didn't need one.
Holy smoke, I actually didn't realize there was a whole other page of the prospectuses. So some of them are actually doing great just now.
Yeah, the Mandy Moore one is my favorite!

Same and same! Hope this week is kinder to you.
“Media hygiene” - love this. Thanks, Lainey!🌟
This is a GREAT mailbag! Thank you!
Soooo good! Loved these thoughtful questions and answers. I’m IN for Sunday--can’t wait to squawk about the Globes!!!
Loved reading about the sports agents--via you, that is. I don't have a NYT subscription. Will be checking out Lucky Me.

I’m number 1 in line for a hold on this book at the library 📚
Heads up! I believe you have an inaccurate image on the site. Isn’t that a pic of Taraji and not Fantasia

Lainey, thanks for your response. I LOVE what you, your hubby and team deliver to us every day--you make my day, every work day!
I just finally got to subscribing and happy sigh, this is exactly the kind of article my soul craved. Thank you!!
Celine's condition is devastating but sorry the idea of a french-canadian Samantha Markle is sooo funny to me.
