The comment about the publicist that followed the reporter and berated her without the knowledge of the celebrity (and the celebrity's active philanthropy raising awareness about something related to children)- I'm wondering if this was a 'blind' item that may have been answered later on in the mail bag with Lainey's ending sentences about Colin Farrell, 'I’ve heard some chatter over the years that sometimes there are certain members of his team who aren’t so nice. This has not been my personal experience, but the whispers are there.' Relevant info may be the Colin Farrell Foundation...

*Ding ding ding!*

I noticed the same thing, and I think you're absolutely right.

I thought the same

Totally!! Liz Trinnear is an eTALK correspondent and has EB and her child waa born with a limb difference. Lainey mentions EB when talking about Colin Farrell running the Dublin Marathon and raising money. I wonder if its all related…

What kind of monster would chastise Liz Trinnear? Ffs

I think it's easy to overlook just how big a deal Wicked is. It's Broadway's second-highest grossing musical, it's one of the longest-running shows on Broadway and the West End (not to forget a ton of regional theatre communities), and both the poster and "Defying Gravity" are arguably iconic. I would not be surprised if it ends up being one of the biggest films of 2024 and that will be in large part thanks to Universal making its stars and their green/pink costuming omnipresent. I'm mostly looking forward to all of the novices finding out the actual plot of the musical, which is way weirder than people remember it being.

Also, it doesn't need to be two movies. The musical's plot is pretty concise and all the good songs are in the first act. Are they adding details from the book? Because the book is even weirder (and NOT for kids.)

The book was so bizarre but that's part of what I liked about it. It took this beloved story and twisted it all over the place.

I just can’t remember a marketing campaign this long with the lead actors tethered to it for every waking moment. It’s one thing for the visuals and product collaborations to be droning on for almost a year … but quite another for the leads to keep popping up in their assigned colours.

I saw it on Broadway last month and I loved it!! My kids loved it too which is a relief, they’re picky. I just don’t know if I can erase the magnificence of it when I’m watching the movie versions. I’m somewhat sad about that.

Cats was also extremely long running in two countries, and also had some iconic songs, and pop star cast members in the film…

I died at the mention. Thank you Lainey, it really means a lot. No idea why my name appears complete hahaha looking into it now 👀

I’m thinking I need to up my shoe game. The shoes first approach is brilliant, I can never find the right shoes from my closet that are cute AND comfy and believe me, I am not lacking in shoes.

This was a novella! A good one, too!

I've been highlighted!! As an idiot. And after I bought the Wicked adult tutu. Oh well, I'm mature. I hope Gladiator 2 buries them.

Lol I still agree it’s TOO MUCH! I’m going to ask my parents who are in their late 60s and not online if they’re aware of the movie and see what they say

If the buzz we’ve heard about Gladiator holds up, I predict there won’t be any competition. Women are going to go with men to see Gladiator but men aren’t going to go with women to see Wicked.

I also have the Urban Barn Liberty couch, it’s beautiful and so comfortable but may I caution folks to avoid if you have young children that like eating chocolate or jumping off of things. It breaks my heart to see the stains on my beautiful cushions as they’re thrown across the room.

I just replaced our Bissell Green Machine cause our old one was so nasty and I didn't want to use it on that thing again. We're constantly getting Elvis and Barney lip stains on it and it drives both of us wild but this is what life with dogs gets you. We have a throw on the seat cushions 100% of the time so at least those won't get filthy.

I was too scared to use the Bissell on it but maybe I’ll try!

I just used half of the detergent mix to water that I'd use for a carpet spot and first tried it on the throw.

My couches are ugly and brown and broken down but I'm not buying anything new until my children stop using them as their personal jungle gyms. On the plus side, they're super comfy but I dream of a sleek mid-century modern in a non-poop color.

Ya I think that's partly why we kept our old black faux/leather ones for so long. Easy to clean and stains didn't show. But it was TIME. Not kids, obviously. But dogs.

This reminds me of the time I organized a group of mom friends to the hunger games movie because we had all read the books... well not all of us because at the end of the movie one of the women was losing it because the movie was about children killing children! She said she had no idea and had just coming along for the night out. Needless to say she did not join us for the second or third movie.
