(Mostly because when I read that back in August, I was reminded of this piece I read years ago about a singer who tested their music in cars, boom boxes, headphones, etc. etc. because different mediums/places changes the way people absorb it. I've always wondered if film directors should be doing more testing of their plane-length movies on actual planes. Like how you do need to read House of Leaves, like Sarah said, physically.
